Spaghetti? Japanese? How did these 2 words come together? One is supposed to be of Italian origin and the other is obviously Japan. However this is indeed the case at Yomenya Goemon Japanese Spaghetti House situated at Marina Bay Link Mall.
A look at the menu revealed a small part of its over 30 years history originating from Shibuya, Japan with over 2500 stores nation wide. Its basic ingredients of spaghetti, olive oil and cheese are in fact imported from Italy but cooked the Japanese way.
Salad bar
All set meals entitle us to one serving from the salad bar.
I decided to try out its Half & Half Set A ($20.90) Tomato sauce with basil & mozarella and Cream sauce spaghetti with crab, shrimp & scallop as these are the 2 main types of sauces for spaghetti. My wife opted for the soup clam chowder ramen.
A warning to small eaters that although it says 'half and half', unlike other restaurants that may serve 'half udon' or half ramen' which is equivalent to just a small bowl. This serving portion is actually a standard main course serving. Therefore you might wish to share with a friend if you are choosing this set.

Soup Clam Chowder ($21.00)
The overall feel was that while the ambience and food setting was exquisite and pleasing to the eyes, we do feel the taste of the food was somewhat more salty to our liking.
However, the food are value for money and we would come back and try out the other dishes in future.
