The 50 Dollar Story

There’s a story about a lecturer who offered a $50 note to his students
“Who wants this $50 note?”

Everyone raised their hands, indicating very much that they wanted it.

“I may give this fifty dollar note to one of you, but i need to do this first.”

The lecturer crumpled the $50 dollar note and asked: “Do you still want this note?”
His students continued raising up their hands.

“Ok hang on...,” the lecturer said, “what if I do this?” The lecturer dropped the $50 dollar note on the ground and crushed it with his shoe.

He picked up the note and showed it to his students again, now crushed and dirty.
“Now, does anyone still wants it?“

His students are still waving their hands excitedly in the air.

He went ahead and gave the $50 dollar note to one his student.

“You have all witnessed a very valuable demonstration.

No matter what I did to the note, you still wanted it as it did not decrease in value.
The value is still $50.

In our lives, we are sometimes dropped, crushed and feeling low into the dirt by the decisions we make and situations that happen along the way making us feel worthless.

But whatever that happened or may happen, your value will never decrease and you are still priceless to those who do love you.

The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by Who We Are and Whose We Are.

You are special – Don’t Ever forget it.”

Key Takeaway: Value has its value only if its value is valued.
